The National Day of Prayer is a wonderful opportunity to pray for our country, community, and churches with Christians from different churches in the Hendersonville area. This year it will be held on Thursday, May 7th, 7:30-8:30 A.M. at the Community Church (381 West Main Street). Michael has been part of the planning team for several years and is one of the pastors praying this year. There will be chicken biscuits and coffee/water. The pastors lead us through a prayer for one of the topics, like church, military, or government. Then, after each topic people are given a few minutes to pray silently or out loud for that same topic.
The next Saturday Sabbath is May 9th, 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the sanctuary. Life is often like walking in the desert. There are many unknowns and un- expected interruptions. It will be very difficult at times. We will discuss ways God uses the unpredictable events in life to deepen and enrich our lives. Mara Boulding once said, “There are no paths in the desert except the ones you make by walking on them.”
